Services

The Ranch is a sprawling facility in a country setting with farm animals, volleyball, basketball, swings, flower gardens and many other healthy, therapeutic activities. The girls learn the value of responsibility and how to rise above their troubled circumstances. By the time they leave, they are equipped to lead a life as self-reliant and self-empowered young women, capable of creating a life for themselves rather than as victims of society.

EVR is a year-round facility that provides behavioral health services to children between the ages of 12 thru 17. Licensed as a Level II 1 facility, EVR provides continuous 24-hour supervision and treatment in a group residential setting to persons who are determined to be capable of independent functioning but still need some protective oversight to insure they receive needed services. The counseling and educational services are unique and are designed to be a holistic approach to adolescent behavior modification, specifically designed to address teenage girls at risk. The belief in the necessity of healing the “whole” child includes addressing mental, physical, behavioral and spiritual needs. Various therapeutic modalities and skills development approaches are used within the facility:

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling services are provided by a masters’ level therapist, facilitating a therapeutic community where a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach is utilized as well as a variety of other treatment modalities to enhance problem-solving skills and bring self awareness and positive new attitudes and behaviors into the lifestyle of the teen.

Group Instruction

Divine Wisdom; designed to instill a sense of integrity is a unique personal growth curriculum that facilitates the acquisition of coping-skills, resilience, friendship, values, self-discipline, problem solving, self-awareness, self-respect and opening oneself to receiving and giving love.

Family Counseling

Family counseling services are available to facilitate functional relationships within the home environment.

Academic Assistance

EVR utilizes an accredited online academic program to ensure academic progress. Each client receives personal tutoring to assist within their program.

Independent Living Skills

Skills such a cooking, cleaning, sewing, personal hygiene, money management and budgeting, are taught in order to promote a sense of self-reliance and independence supporting the development of self-discipline and responsibility within the group and in society.

Animal and Plant Care Therapy

Care and nurturing of plants and animals creates an opening to healing for many emotionally wounded individuals. These activities develop self-awareness, compassion and opens one to giving and receiving love. Organic gardening activities are designed to promote respect for and understanding of the processes of nurturing and growing plants, and the relationship between oneself and the environment.

Recreational Activities

Hiking, gardening, regional outings, horseback riding, horse care, ecological awareness and sensitivity.
